Valentine ’s Day is just around the corner. Like most people you probably haven’t even thought of what to get your significant other this year or maybe you are tired of the standard chocolates and card routine. In either case a much more personal option exists.
The Farthers And Sons Quartet (FSQ) has been offering a singing valentine service to those in Calvert County for almost a decade. They’ll sing two songs and present a rose to your true love at their workplace, home, or other place in Calvert County.
All of this for only $50 and the money is donated to Calvert Hospice. Since the beginning in 2005 they have raised more than $12,000 for Calvert Hospice.
The group is headed by bass singer David Reyno who you may know better as a postal worker from North Beach, now retired. In addition to David; Jason sings lead, Jeremy belts out the tenor, and Jon provides the baritone.
I first saw the FSQ at Olde Bay Tavern (no longer in existence) last year. The four quartet members arrived in matching red dress shirts with complimenting pink tie and dress pants. When singing, you could pick out each of their voices yet the four of them sounded great together. The sound filled the whole restaurant and everyone in the restaurant provide a wonderful applause when they were finished singing. No matter what venue, they’ll turn heads of everyone within earshot.
Make valentine’s simple this year by booking the Fathers & Sons Quartet for your significant other, friends, family, and business clients. Your recipient(s) will be impressed and you’ll support a great cause at the same time. You can reach David Reyno at 301-855-2724 or 410-257-7814. Book by February 11 to ensure delivery no later than February 14.
